WHY PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY MUSIC

Playing Music

There are so many reasons why we want to play music for ourselves. Almost anyone can put a CD into a player and cause music to be played. But that isn't enough. Playing music is fun. The more complex our lives and our environment becomes, the more we need the joy and simplicity of fun. Music brings people together. As families are threatened by divisional forces, music counteracts this with a unifying force. You are never too old to learn, especially with the Claviset system. It is a tremendous positive means for self expression. Most people have so much creativity locked up inside. Playing music and improvising with a tune you know is a fantastic way to release the creative genius in us all. Check out some Claviset Testimonials and hear what people have to say about playing Claviset.

Scientific studies have shown a very strong correlation between playing music and intelligence. Educators throughout the country have lobbied for mandatory music classes for children because of this benefit. Of course, this benefit also applies to adults! Other studies have shown that keeping the mind active causes us to age more gracefully and live longer and happier lives. Music is a tremendous way to keep the mind active, since you can always explore new things and continue forming new neural connections.

Playing music is therapeutic. It builds self-esteem. It provides a sense of accomplishment. It is a great way to unwind after a busy day or week. There are professional organizations that provide music therapy to heal an array of mental difficulties.

U.S. Attitudes Towards Music

The vast majority of Americans have positive attitudes about playing musical instruments, but few actually follow-through on their interest in music according to a survey entitled "U.S. Attitudes Towards Music." While 95% of the survey respondents stated that playing a musical instrument is a good hobby, 86% of the U.S. households do not have an active musical instrument player. An even higher percentage of individuals do not play music. By identifying why people are not playing and developing the solution, we at Recreational Music, Inc. believe we have the solution to this unfulfilled desire that most people have.
